Two New ‘Transformer’ Movies Officially in the Works!

2 min read

Two new ‘Transformer‘ movies are officially in the works at Paramount Pictures. So far Screenwriters Joby Harold and James Vanderbilt are writing the scripts with no directors attached to the film yet. Very little information is known about the two new movies besides the writers and that the movies will be in simultaneous development.

So far no information on the cast has been released but we can expect a brand new creative cast for these two movies. Both writers do helm very good movies under them like, Joby Harold which he helped with King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, both John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. While James Vanderbilt worked on The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and even Independence Day: Resurgence.

Within the years Paramount Pictures have released six Transformer movies with the last one being ‘Bumblebee‘ which was helmed by Travis Knight. Bumblebee was a win for both fans and critics and, Travis Knight even revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that he had an idea for a sequel stating;

In my mind, I have all kinds of ideas for where Charlie goes from here; where Bumblebee goes from here; where Optimus Prime goes from here. In my mind, I’ve already made those movies on some level,” Knight tells THR.If the stars align, would I tell another story in this universe? I mean, I love these characters, so it’d be a thrill to be able to tell a different kind of story in this universe. Time will tell.
