James Gunn, the director of the upcoming 2021 DC film: The Suicide Squad, won’t have CGI rendered costumes but real made practical ones. This will be the sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad produced by Warner Bros and with James Gunn set to direct and write the film after Marvel fired him from directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (even though he was rehired again).
James Gunn once again responds to fans quetions on social media, this time on Instagram, he responds to a fan’s question that says: ”Are you using CGI or real suits in SS2?’‘ and he responds with: ‘‘All practical”. Here is a screenshot of that respond:
It is very rare that superhero films don’t have CGI costumes, with many studios taking up this route most notably Marvel. This however is different; because of criticism by many fans who say that studios rely and depend on CGI and visual effects. James Gunn also revealed back in November that The Suicide Squad Sequel will have more practical effects than any other films he made.

Rick Flag portrayer and actor Joel Kinnaman said that The Suicide Squad script will be more comedic and funnier than the first 2016 film, since Suicide Squad had an ‘‘off-tone’‘ to it and James Gunn is known that his films have a lot of humor.
