Call of Duty is one of the most popular video game franchises of all time, since 2003, the video game developer and company Activision has been making 16 games with massive success, in November of 2015 Activison announced that they are making a Call of Duty film and a cinematic universe based on the franchise.

In 2018, they announced that director of Sicario: Day of the Soldado Stefano Sollima will direct the film, then in November they announced that Joe Robert, the writer for Marvel’s Black Panther will write the sequel. After that there is no new updates on the film and missd the 2019 calendar until now.

Stefano was in an interview with the Italian film website Badtaste, he said that the Call of Duty film is currently on hold and not a priority for Activison for now, Stefano also followed by saying that ”the project is in limbo”.

The Call of Duty film might not come out for some time for now, the company has some ambition for making not just one film, not a trilogy but a whole cinematic universe like Marvel and DC, but as of right now Call of Duty fans need to look to other things than the film, but we will always look forward for any updates to the film.
