Oscar Isaac continues to be one of the busiest men in Hollywood. Fresh of the latest Star Wars trilogy and hot off the heels of filming Denis Villeneuve’s remake of the 1984 cult classic Dune, Isaac wasted no time adding two features to his already packed schedule.
Isaac is set to star in Ben Stiller’s new thriller, London, as reported exclusively through Deadline. Produced by Isaac himself, he obtained the story rights to the high-concept short-story by bestselling writer Jo Nesbo through his company Mad Gene Media. Joining Stiller and Isaac will be Acadamy Award-winning writer Eric Roth, best known for the Tom Hanks classic, Forrest Gump.
Not to be satisfied with London, Isaac has also joined the cast of James Gray’s drama, Armageddon Time. He joins an all-star cast of Cate Blanchett, Robert De Niro, Donald Sutherland, and Anne Hathaway. James Gray once again joins RT Features for this film, after their last collaboration, Brad Pitt’s space thriller Ad Astra. As reported by Deadline, the will be a coming-of-age story based on his childhood memories set in Pre-President-elect Ronald Reagan America.
These films are set to keep Isaac busy for the next few years. With Dune in December, his Brian Petsos’ comedy/drama Big Gold Brick entering post-production and expecting a 2020 release, and his starring role in the Paul Schrader revenge thriller The Card Counter wrapping up filming, Issac is poised to continue raising his star to seemingly unreachable levels. Let’s just hope he has time to catch his breath if he ever needs to.
