After the so-so sequel that was Fallen Kingdom, it appears that life does indeed find a way.
For months, both Colin Trevorrow and Chris Pratt have been teasing the next installment in the Jurassic franchise, but nothing concrete has been released until today.
This afternoon, Trevorrow took to his Twitter account to not only post a photo confirming that production has begun on the third Jurassic World film, but to confirm the new title too! And the official title is Jurassic World: Dominion.

Now, some of us here at Kernel weren’t too sure and initially thought it could be a pseudonym or even a working title for the film, but shortly after Trevorrow tweeted, so did Pratt.

Though Pratt’s was a bit more cryptic, we’re now 100% sure this is indeed the name of the next film.
Just last week, in an interview with The Playlist, Pratt was quoted comparing Jurassic World 3 to Avengers: Endgame, but with no official synopsis available and no new casting announcements – besides the confirmed return of both Academy Award Winner Laura Dern and Sam Neill – and only this new title to go on, what do you think the next film could be about? Are you excited? More importantly, what do you think of the title? Let us know in the comment section below, or on Twitter @AppKernel.
