James Gunn says he “Won’t Make A ‘Star Wars’ Film!”

James Gunn, known for directing the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequel, revealed that he is not interested in making a ‘Star Wars’ film during an Instagram Q&A.

During a Q&A on Gunn’s Instagram, one fan asked him if he ever considered directing a Star Wars film, he replyed saying:

“It doesn’t really interest me as a filmmaker, I can’t think of any franchises I’d want to join other than the ones I’m already part of.

This is not the first time Gunn expressed his opinion on directing a Star Wars film or a series. A couple of months ago, he confirmed to his fans that he would not really be interested in directing an episode of The Mandalorian.

James Gunn is no stranger for directing films set in Space and fights between good and evil and using CGI in moviemaking. After the great success of the first Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, Marvel rehired him again to direct its sequel.

Gunn and Warner Bros. have concluded the filming of his upcoming 2021 The Suicide Squad and is still working on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Gunn is not interested in making any Star Wars film for now.
