HBO Confirms “Game of Thrones” prequel “House Of The Dragon”

1 min read

HBO president of programming “Casey Bloys” has announced the order of a 10-episodes series focusing on the Targaryen (House Of The Dragon).

The new series will be set around 300 years before the original show, which will reportedly lead to the Dance of Dragons, a massive civil war held between two rival branches of House Targaryen.

The series is co-produced by Game of Thrones author George RR Martin, Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik.

This announcement comes after the news broke that HBO isn’t moving forward with its first GoT prequel project under the name “The Long Night” from showrunner Jane Goldman starring Naomi Watts, after experiencing problems with the series Pilot.

Fans of the blockbuster series can expect the GoT prequel to launch on HBO’s upcoming streaming service HBO Max coming May 2020.
