‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ will barely be PG-13

2 min read

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, one of the many upcoming movies for Marvel’s Phase 4, is pointing to be an almost non PG 13 movie from Marvel given that it’s going to feature many creepy and dark scenes never seen before in the MCU.

The movie’s plot is yet unknown, but what we do know is that the movie will feature Scarlet Witch. Now, there’s still no word in the role that Scarlet Witch will have on the movie, but she’s definitely going to be a central piece in the plot and will be working along side Doctor Strange, or maybe against. Either way, watching the two mystical characters in the MCU (not including Asgardian characters) will definitely open up a new world of possibilities for Marvel to explore new worlds and generes. Just like Thor opened up the space world and was expanded by Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will expand on the magic world that was introduced with Doctor Strange. Although in this new sequel it appears that the MCU is not only going to wander in the mystical world but also enter the thriller/horror genre.

Kevin Feige himself has said in an interview that this movie will be PG 13 but just by a hair. It will feature several strong scenes involving scary and thrilling moments. Lets hope Feige didn’t just mean jump scares but rather actual uncomfortable scenes where you just want to look away. The movie seems to be a promising and creative film. We’ll also have to see how the movie ties with the Disney+ shows like WandaVision and Loki.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to release May 7th, 2021, so make sure to add it to your Kernel watchlist so you don’t miss an update on the release!
