Knives Out was a big hit when it released last year. The film made 278 million dollars worldwide against a 40 million dollar budget and has recently been nominated for an Oscar for its screenplay. Rian Johnson (the film’s director and writer) has previously spoken about the prospect of a sequel, but now it looks like the star of the film is interested as well.
Daniel Craig (who played detective Benoit Blanc) has stated in an interview with EW that he’s interested in reprising his role, saying:
“I’d be over the moon. I mean, I’d do anything for Rian. If he writes something, I’ll do it. Of course I will. Why wouldn’t I? I had a ton of fun doing it. You aim for that every time, you aim for that to work out. It rarely, rarely does, but it did on that movie and how nice is that?”
With Craig starring in his final Bond movie No Time To Die this coming April, it looks like he already has found a new franchise to head.
