Call it “child’s play” indeed.
Despite receiving a campy and hilarious reboot last year, the original Child’s Play franchise is still alive and kicking. Everyone’s favorite evil toy is back (again). Well kind of…
It was announced this past weekend at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that the cable tv channel, Syfy, has just received a straight-to-series order for a show about the horror icon. Interestingly enough, the show will also serve as a sequel to the original film franchise.
The premise for the show, which is slated to simply be called Chucky, revolves around a small American town that begins to experience a series of misfortunes after a vintage Chucky doll mysteriously appears a yard sale.
This will be the original Chucky’s first appearance since he was last seen in the 2017 film, Cult of Chucky.
