Production designer Tom Meyer has joined the team for DC’s Shazam spin-off movie Black Adam. Meyer has been known for his work in movies like Valkyrie, Welcome to Collinwood, Johan Hex, Real Steel, The Internship, Spectral and We Are Marshall. His production in movies are great, he commits to make sets perfect for each movie that let you sink into the story, with much detail and good looking spaces. He will be a great asset to the Black Adam team.
Tom Meyer is joining Black Adam‘s crew with Spanish director Jaume Collet Serra known for directing many Liam Neeson movies (The Commuter, Unknown, Non-Stop) as well as screenwriter Adam Sztykiel (co writer of Rampage) and the man who is expected to receive an Oscar nomination next year, Lawrence Sher (Joker cinematographer).
Starring The Rock as this new antihero, Black Adam’s character comes from DC comics on how Wizard Shazam gave this man powers to become Mighty Adam. But after some time his power let him turn to evil and become something different. Later on, Shazam comes to the rescue, to save the life of this corrupted soul. Though we know the beginning from the comic book story, we really still don’t know how the plot of the movie is going to plan out.
Black Adam is set to start production in summer 2020, and will hit theatres on December 22, 2021. Make sure to add it to your Kernel watchlist so you don’t miss the release!
