Amazon confirms main cast for ‘The Lord of the Rings’ series

The main cast for the upcoming Amazon show ‘The Lord of the Rings’ has been officially announced. The cast contains stars such as Robert Aramayo, Nazanin Boniad, and even Owain Arthur. Also joining them is Morfydd Clark, Tom Budge, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, and Charlie Vickers.

Series showrunners J.D. Mayne and Patrick McKay stated “After undertaking an extensive global search, we are delighted finally to reveal the first group of brilliant performers who will take part in Amazon’s ‘The Lord of the Rings’ series. Also stating “These exceptionally talented women and men are more than just our actors: they are the newest members of an ever-expanding creative family that is now working tirelessly to bring Middle-earth to life anew for fans and audiences worldwide.”

‘The Lord of the Rings’ series is being written by Payne and of course Mckay. Also joining as a consulting producer is ‘Games of Throne’ alum Bryan Cogman. J.A. Bayona is set to direct multiple episodes for the series. Currently there is nothing known about the plot for the series except that the show is to explore storylines proceeding ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ plot but the producers do hope to release the series in 2021.
