On Monday I reported that X-Men: Dark Phoenix has set an unwanted record to become the lowest ever US Box Office opening for any X-Men series movie to date – just $33 million. But now according to Deadline the movie is predicted to result in a loss of “$100-120 million” for its backers.

According to the site they believe that the film cost upwards of $350 million to make (including multiple reshoots) and analysts now predict the film could gross as little as $285 million.

Here on Kernel we reviewed to movie poorly at just 2 stars and are intrigued as to what Disney opt for next with the potential merger within the MCU.
