⭐ Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: what you need to know!

Are you a fan of Star Wars and have you always wanted to be part of the films? Than you might want to book a trip to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World, because that’s where Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is. A land in the theme park, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge gives you an opportunity to experience your own Star Wars adventure. But what do you need to know before you book a trip? Don’t worry, we’re gonna let you know!

What is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a themed land in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World (opening August 29th). It puts you on a planet called Batuu, which has been invaded by The First Order. The story of the land takes place between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker and many of the film’s characters show up, like Rey, Chewbacca and Kylo Ren!

What can you do in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge let’s you do many of the things that you can see the characters do in the films. You can visit the cantina, build your own astromech droid, build your own lightsaber, fly the Milennium Falcon and face Kylo Ren!

What are the rides?

There is currently one ride in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, although another will open in December in Walt Disney World and in January in Disneyland. The ride that is currently open, allows you to pilot the Milennium Falcon and walk through the ship as well.
Rise of the Resistance (which will open later) will put you in a Star Wars adventure where you board a Star Destroyer along with Poe Dameron and Rey and face Kylo Ren and The First Order.

What is the food like?

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge provides many food offerings. You can get a meal at Ronto Roasters or Docking Bay 7, drink some alcoholic beverages at the cantina and even drink the famous blue and green milk at the milk stand!

What can I buy?

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge provide two premium merchandise experiences (as in, you have to pay a lot extra). You can build your own R2 or BB droid at the Droid Depot (100 dollars) and build your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop (200 dollars). Furthermore, there are many different shops where you can buy your own Porg, costumes, replica’s of ancient artefacts or home-made Star Wars toys!

Why should I go to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?

If you are a fan of the Star Wars film, a visit is as good as a must go. It tells you a story that takes place before the last chapter in the saga (The Rise of Skywalker) and features references to all previous films and TV series. Even if you are not a fan of the franchise, the land provides a truly mesmerising and immersive experience. It’s not like you walk onto a Star Wars set, but as if you are actually in the films! If you want to experience even more Star Wars, you could also wait for The Rise of Skywalker when it releases in December, be sure to add it to your watchlist to be notified when the release date nears!
